Clara Boxing Club was formed in November 2012 and officially opened in January 2013. The club was founded by Mary Nevin and Esther Buckley. Clara Boxing Club is affiliated to the Offaly County Board and the Irish Amateur Boxing Association, the national governing body. Since the club’s formation boxers have competed and won medals in the Offaly Leinster and Michael Andrews Championship’s.
