Clara Family Resource Centre’s Ghosting up of Clara: Following the success of last year’s ghosting up of Clara we are aiming to make it even scarier than last year. We need groups, team mates, individuals, work colleagues, clubs, shops, businesses etc. to make witches, ghosts, goblins, spiders etc. to help create a ghostly display for Clara. If you are interested in making something for display in Clara please contact the centre.

Scare in the Square Event: Returns on Oct 31^st from 6:30pm and is going to be better than ever. Join the fun as Disney characters, ghostbusters, singers, dancers and DJ’s take over the Green Field with a mega Halloween Party. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please use Ard Scoil, the boy’s school & swimming pool car parks. All are welcome. In association with Offaly County Council & Clara Community Groups.

Hullabaloo 2018: Hullabaloo for primary school children takes place during the Halloween break running from Wed 31^st of Oct to Sat 3^rd Nov. A wide variety of workshops are on offer such as creating Hero costumes, haunted house, clowning workshops, circus workshops, balloon buddies, stories, music, dance and so much more! Please see booklets available in the centre. Booking is essential and you can call into the centre to facilitate booking. See www.hullabaloofestival.ie.

Mojo: Mojo is for men who are in distress and affected by employment related issues and motivated to make changes in their lives. Mojo are delivering a Mini Mojo Training Programme, commencing November 7^th from 2.30 to 4.30pm in Clara.It is modelled on a 12 week programme which includes mental and physical fitness, life planning, and other topics that the men need support with e.g. managing sleep and developing a daily routine. Triple P. Positive Parenting Free 2 Hour Workshops: Getting Teenagers to Cooperate is on Monday December 3^rd and Coping with Teenagers Emotions is on Thursday December 13^th, both take place in the FRC. Contact the centre to book your free place or contact Triple P on 090 6447111.

The Resource Shop: Located beside the boys school and open every Wed, Thurs and Fri 9:30am-3:30pm. The centre is thankful for all the donations received. This will be used for the benefit of the people of Clara via the new & existing services delivered by Clara FRC. If you have donations, please drop into the centre during office hours. Volunteers will also receive training in our upcoming retail course which will cover customer service, marketing strategies, creative display and window dressing.

Team Hope Christmas Shoe Box Appeal: Drop your box into the centre by Nov 9^th where leaflets are also available.

 Offaly Work & Learning Centre

Provide weekly employment support services every Thursday at the Family Resource Centre. The service will offer free advice, support and information for the unemployed and other disadvantaged groups looking at their options for work and learning.
