Clara Environmental Group

The community employment scheme has seen further improvements in the quality of services provided in the town and surrounding areas.
There are currently 23 participants and 1 supervisor based in the Old Convent and covers the Clara and Tubber area. We provide help and support to local community groups such as Clara Soccer Club, Clara GAA Club, Tubber District Development, Clara Swimming Pool, Erry Pitch & Putt, Clara FRC, Clara Tidy Towns and Clara Scouts. There is also an administrator and a newsletter staff member. Each participant works 19.5 hours per week within these clubs and groups.
Group members have been involved in various activities in the community such helping with the Clara Christmas lights, erecting the crib in the church and the playground opening event. 
In addition to this, many participants achieve advanced levels of skills in many areas including FETAC level 4 & 5 in minor modules which lead to major awards in several subjects.
Clara Community Environmental Group is exactly what we are; we are here to help, support and skilled workers to help make the community a better place for everyone.
